WELCOME TO THE LNSS PROJECT WIKI !

Who are we?

The Library Network Support Services (LNSS) project began in August 2008 as a collaboration of the Shannon Consortium libraries of LIT, UL, IT Tralee and Mary Immaculate College, with LIT as the lead institution.

A successful submission was made to the HEA, and funding was made available for the LNSS project through the SIF 2 program. The LNSS project is led by a Steering Group, consisting of directors from the partner libraries. For more information on the people behind the project, why not visit our website at www.lit.ie/lnss !

What are we about?

  • Information Literacy: The LNSS project aims to introduce an Information Literacy suite for students to help them to locate and evaluate information effectively. There will be an IL suite aimed towards undergraduates and general library users, and another geared mainly towards postgraduates and research students.
  • Regional Network for Staff Development: A comprehensive series of training courses for library staff to enhance their skills and further their professional development.
